Interplay of past and present –

fact and fiction

Is someone ‘coming through’ from 1842 as depicted in Cross Cut just fiction ?

On 27 June 2008, Lee was interviewed by John Holmes of BBC Radio Nottingham. This was in the entrance to the Galleries of Justice museum, the former county court and gaol in the heart of the historic Lace Market.

They were talking about the hard and turbulent 1840s in Cross Cut and the correspondingly grim atmosphere in the museum. The digital photograph shown above  was taken at the time and a peculiar jagged white line surrounding the two of them was seen through the viewfinder while the resulting picture has the mysterious and unexplained white triangular light in the top right hand corner over the staircase.

Psychic investigators visited the Galleries a few days later. On the same staircase a presence was detected and a shadowy figure appeared next to a medium. This resonated not only with the photograph, but also with earlier reported sightings on the staircase. Ironic that in the fictional Cross Cut the past interferes in the present and here apparently is a similar thing in reality. Was it the Cross Cut discussion about the past that ‘drew’ the past ? Nobody can give us a rational explanation , can you help ?
